The only contact the detective finds is the business card of young director Paul Hearts. While Paul was answering the investigator’s questions, we had been taken to Hollywood Cemetery forever six months earlier when he first met the Lady in Black and persuaded her to reveal her secret to the camera. The story of the old lady takes us even further back in time, to 1926, when she was a young nurse in New York and met Rudolf Valentino on the deathbed of a hospital.
